Qatar Charity (QC) participated in the 3rd Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum (RIHF) organized by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) in partnership with the United Nations and its humanitarian organizations. The two-day RIHF was attended by humanitarian leaders, donors, practitioners, researchers, and others from the different countries of the world.

The 3rd RIHF comes as an extension of the previous two forums aimed at keeping pace with the latest developments related to humanitarian and relief action and developing practical and effective measures that take into account the changing needs on the ground.

The RIHF aims to strengthen dialogue and communication between leaders, donors, practitioners, and researchers to exchange experiences, ideas, and best practices for the development of humanitarian work, improve the Humanitarian, Development and Peace Nexus (HDPN) to ensure sustainable development, and adapt technology and digital transformation to serve humanitarian work.

RIHF scientific sessions and accompanying events discussed several important topics related to the development of humanitarian needs and ways to respond to them, data collection and analysis to support humanitarian action, proactive action and strengthening resilience in local communities, and methods of achieving sustainable development goals by improving the Humanitarian, Development and Peace Nexus (HDPN).

Al-Rumaihi noted the need to explore new approaches and solutions to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of humanitarian, development and peace programming given the nature of crises that are increasingly more protracted and complex.
