Qatar Charity owns income-generating projects for orphans’ mothers

With the support of the people in Qatar and as part of the economic empowerment projects, Qatar Charity office in Sudan delivered equipment for the bakery project to several orphans’ mothers and women most in need, as was done before.

Holding training courses for them at the Saaed Center for Vocational Training affiliated with the Mycetoma Research Center at the University of Khartoum.

17 women, mothers of orphans and needy women, benefited from the bakery projects. Ovens, mixers, kneaders, and gas cylinders were delivered to each family.

Professor Ahmed Hassan, Director of the Mycetoma Research Center at the University of Khartoum, and supervisor of the Vocational Training Center welcomed the cooperation with Qatar Charity in the fields of training and said: “We welcome the humanitarian cooperation with Qatar Charity for the benefit of the most vulnerable groups in society, as mycetoma patients whose limbs have been amputated can benefit. One of the economic empowerment projects offered by Qatar Charity after rehabilitating, training, and providing them with the necessary new skills.”

Orphans’ mothers confirmed their benefit from participating in the marketing skills course and the interactive discussions they witnessed within the course and expressed they’re thanks to the good people in the State of Qatar for supporting them with all the necessary equipment for the bakery industry for free.

Umm Muhammad, a mother of three orphans, said that the economic empowerment project granted to her by Qatar Charity will generate income that will help her bear the expenses of education and a decent life for her orphan children.

Sondos Mudawi, a mother of three orphans, said that she used to make and sell baked goods with very modest equipment, but she is now able to expand her production and marketing of baked goods after the benevolent people in Qatar provided her with all the equipment she needs, through Qatar Charity, for the bakery industry, and she said she hopes that This project generates income for her to help her meet the requirements of life and meet the needs of her orphan daughters.
