“QATAR CHARITY” LAUNCHES THE “CITY OF DIGNITY” PROJECT TO REBUILD WHAT WAS DESTROYED BY THE EARTHQUAKE IN NORTHERN SYRIA

“Qatar Charity” announced the start of the first phase of the “City of Dignity” project, as part of a plan to rebuild the earthquake-affected areas in northern Syria, according to “Russia Today” news agency.

The CEO of Qatar Charity, Youssef bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, confirmed, during a video clip published by “Qatar Charity” on its Twitter account, that he had “issued his directives to start work on the project.”

It is noteworthy that in the regions of northern Syria, the relief teams expected “the death toll to rise, with hundreds of families under the rubble, amid great difficulties and the need for heavy rescue equipment.”

More than 160 buildings completely collapsed and 330 partially collapsed, in addition to the cracks of thousands of buildings in northwestern Syria, and the fall of entire buildings over the heads of their residents in the north of the country, and the damage appeared severe in the areas closest to the Turkish border, such as the cities of Azaz, Jarabulus, and Jenderes (north of Aleppo) and Sarmada (north of Idlib).
