Qatar Charity (QC) continues to deliver relief aid to the Tukey-Syria earthquake victims in many affected areas to contribute to meeting their urgent needs. The aid, which comes as part of Qatar Charity’s relief efforts, includes food and non-food items, as well as personal hygiene kits and other items.

Qatar Charity’s field teams continue to distribute nearly 45,000 hot meals to the affected people in Syria and Turkey, in addition to distributing 6,500 food parcels containing ready-to-eat items in Azaz and Afrin in northern Syria, and 1,600 packages consisting of basic food items, enough for a family for a whole month, in Gaziantep and Sanliurfa, Turkey. Also, more than 15,000 bundles of bread are distributed daily in Turkey.

Qatar Charity, through the airlift of Qatar, shipped 13 tons of foodstuffs and nearly 4,000 blankets, in addition to moving a convoy of 4 aid consignments from Doha towards the affected areas. It contains medical supplies, first aid, clothes, dates, and food items worth more than half a million riyals.

It is worth mentioning that preparations are underway to implement 30 relief convoys that will include food and non-food items. Besides, QR 21.9 million plan is currently being prepared for an urgent response worth QR 7.3 million, and early recovery and reconstruction projects worth QR 14.6 million.

As the earthquake has caused the massive damage and the number of victims is on rise, Qatar Charity renews its urgent appeal to philanthropists and benefactors in Qatar to support its relief campaign ‘Save Earthquake Victims in Turkey and Northern Syria’ to help the affected and contribute to reducing their suffering.
