Qatar Chamber Explores Tanzanian Mining Investment Opportunities

Doha:Qatar Chamber recently hosted a meeting to discuss investment opportunities in Tanzania's minerals sector, focusing on gold and precious stone mines, as well as the incentives provided by the Tanzanian government to attract foreign investment.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was led by Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari, First Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber, and attended by Dr. Steven Kiruswa, Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister of Minerals of Tanzania.

Al Kuwari emphasized the strong cooperative relations between Qatar and Tanzania, highlighting the interest of Qatari investors in the Tanzanian mining sector, which presents substantial potential. He expressed Qatar Chamber's support for collaboration between Qatari and Tanzanian businesses and welcomed the formation of joint ventures in this vital sector and other areas.

Dr. Kiruswa noted the significance of the minerals sector to Tanzania's economy and the substantial incentives available to Qatari investors. He reiterated Tanzania's encouragement of investments that add value to their economy. He also mentioned that Tanzania sees Qatar as a crucial gateway for its products to reach West Asia and international markets, due to Qatar's advanced infrastructure and extensive global investment experience.
