Qatar Chamber and WSIF Sign Cooperation Agreement

Doha:Qatar Chamber and the Workers' Support and Insurance Fund (WSIF) signed a document on Wednesday outlining executive mechanisms and cooperation procedures between the two entities.

According to Qatar News Agency, the agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in delivering training and awareness programs for both WSIF employees and company workers throughout Qatar. The parties will exchange expert knowledge, identify training needs, and evaluate the impact of joint initiatives and training programs.

Qatar Chamber Board Member Dr. Khalid bin Klefeekh Al Hajri stated that the agreement reflects Qatar Chamber's commitment to working with key labor market entities, supporting the private sector, and raising awareness among workers and employers regarding their rights and responsibilities. He highlighted that this collaboration is an important step towards enhancing training and awareness programs and benefiting from the expertise of both parties, which will contribute to developing the work environment and promoting stability in the labor market.

WSIF Executive Director Khloud Saif Al Kubaisi emphasized that the agreement underscores both parties' shared commitment to deepening institutional cooperation and aligning efforts to serve workers and Qatar's private sector. She noted that the agreement would support the fund's mission to safeguard workers' rights and foster a safe, stable workplace environment that benefits both workers and employers.
