Qatar Central Bank Issues QAR 2.5 Billion Ijara Sukuk on Behalf of Ministry of Finance

Doha: The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has announced the issuance of government Ijara Sukuk on behalf of the Ministry of Finance, amounting to a total value of QAR 2.5 billion.

According to Qatar News Agency, the QCB detailed that the sukuk are divided into two categories based on maturity dates. The first, a Tap Issuance, is valued at QAR 1.25 billion and will mature on September 3, 2028, with a yield of 4.4 percent. The second, an iTap Issuance, is also valued at QAR 1.25 billion and will mature on August 24, 2030, carrying the same yield of 4.4 percent.

The QCB further highlighted in a post on the 'X' platform that total bids for the sukuk reached approximately QAR 7 billion, indicating a strong demand for this financial instrument.
