Doha:The State of Qatar and the United Republic of Tanzania have formalized an agreement to avoid double taxation on income and prevent tax evasion.
According to Qatar News Agency, the agreement was signed by Qatar's Minister of Finance, Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, and Tanzania's Minister of Finance, Khamis Mussa Omar.
This agreement establishes a comprehensive legal framework governing tax and financial relations between the two countries. It aims to prevent double taxation and curb tax evasion, contributing to a fair and stable tax environment.
Additionally, the agreement seeks to enhance transparency and the exchange of information between the relevant authorities. It is expected to support the movement of capital, trade, and investment, while broadening economic and financial cooperation, serving the interests of both nations.
