Qatar and Finland Explore Deeper Economic Cooperation and Business Partnerships

Doha: HE Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani met with a Finnish delegation to discuss bilateral economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. The delegation included Axel Hagelstam, Deputy Director General for International Relations and Analysis in the National Emergency Supply Agency, and Petteri Korvala, Secretary General of the Security Committee, alongside representatives from Finnish companies.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting also saw the participation of HE Juha Mustonen, Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to the State of Qatar, and Ibtihaj Al Ahmadani, a member of the Chamber's Board of Directors and head of the Health Committee. The visit aimed to strengthen economic and trade cooperation across various sectors such as civil industries, private sector collaboration, advanced industries, innovation, medical technology, artificial intelligence, waste management, and education.

Discussions also included a proposal to organize a Qatari-Finnish Business Forum in Qatar. HE Sheikh Khalifa praised the relations between Qatar and Finland and reiterated Doha's commitment to providing an attractive investment environment for Finnish companies and investors, fostering mutual interests and supporting the growth of bilateral trade and investment.
