Moscow: The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, has secured second place in the 22nd Moscow International Quran Recitation Competition, with participants from 32 countries. Abdulaziz Abdullah Ali Al Hamri participated on behalf of Qatar in this renowned competition, particularly in the Quran memorization category. According to Qatar News Agency, the competition received full sponsorship and support from the Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad bin Thani Noble Quran Competition, under Qatar's Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs. The Qatari delegation, led by Malullah bin Abdulrahman Al Jaber, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad bin Thani Noble Quran Competition, played a significant role in this event. During the award ceremony, the Organizing Committee emphasized the robust diplomatic ties between Qatar and Russia, particularly in cultural and religious domains. Additionally, the Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad bin Thani Noble Quran Compe tition was acknowledged as the primary sponsor of this year's event. HE Ambassador of Qatar to Russia, Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser Al-Thani, expressed gratitude to both government authorities and the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims in Russia for their roles in organizing the competition. He commended the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and the Organizing Committee for their dedicated efforts. In his remarks, Malullah bin Abdulrahman Al Jaber also appreciated the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia for their organization and supervision of the competition. He highlighted the ongoing activities that aim to promote a correct understanding of Islam and spread the teachings of the Holy Quran, which will continue until November 14.
