Doha: Qatar Academy Sidra, a part of Qatar Foundation's Pre-University Education, has officially opened its doors to students at its new campus, marking the start of the academic year with a focus on an integrated learning environment that emphasizes innovation and student wellbeing.

According to Qatar News Agency, the new facility can host up to 1,800 students and boasts 60 classrooms, a library, and specialized areas such as science laboratories, STEM and innovation spaces, art and design studios, music rooms, and an auditorium. The campus also includes a variety of sports amenities, including a swimming pool, sports hall, and outdoor fields, designed to support a comprehensive educational experience.

Abeer Al Khalifa, President of QF's Pre-University Education, emphasized the significance of the new campus, stating that it represents a milestone for both the school and the broader vision of QF PUE. She highlighted the commitment to creating environments that foster curiosity, wellbeing, and the skills needed for students to thrive.

Al Khalifa further explained that the campus has been meticulously designed with the needs of students and educators in mind, offering modern, student-centered spaces that promote collaboration, creativity, exploration, and personalized learning. She noted that the physical environment is crucial in enhancing educational experiences and empowering students.

The new campus offers students increased opportunities for learning and engagement. Sustainability is a key feature of the new building, designed in accordance with the Global Sustainability Assessment System. It includes measures to reduce energy and water consumption and maximize operational efficiency, aligning with the Academy's commitment to a sustainable learning environment.

The design also incorporates natural light to enhance the learning atmosphere, supporting student wellbeing and concentration. Accessibility has been prioritized, with facilities and pathways accommodating the wider school community. The campus offers parking and tram access, improving connectivity within Education City.
