Prime Minister of Qatar Discusses Regional Stability in Phone Call with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani engaged in a telephone conversation with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Sunday. The discussion centered around enhancing the cooperation relations between Qatar and Kuwait, as well as addressing the latest developments in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, the conversation emphasized ongoing diplomatic efforts and joint coordination aimed at reducing tensions and strengthening regional security and stability. Both sides highlighted the necessity for all parties involved to remain committed to dialogue and diplomacy. They discussed the implementation of understandings reached under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the United States and Iran, focusing on ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to safeguard regional security and promote stability.

His Excellency reiterated Qatar's ongoing support for initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and achieving a comprehensive agreement to secure lasting peace in the region. The call reflects Qatar's commitment to diplomatic engagement and regional cooperation.
