Poor Visibility Forecast Inshore and Offshore Today

Doha: The Department of Meteorology has warned of poor horizontal visibility both inshore and offshore on Friday, due to mist and fog, particularly during the early hours.

According to Qatar News Agency, the department's daily weather report indicates that inshore conditions until 6:00 pm on Friday will be misty to foggy at first, followed by moderate to relatively hot temperatures during the daytime with some clouds. Weather conditions are expected to become relatively cold by night.

Offshore, conditions will also be misty to foggy initially, with some clouds at times.

Inshore winds will be southeasterly to southerly at 5 to 15 knots, while offshore winds will be southeasterly to easterly at 3 to 13 knots.

Sea conditions inshore will range between 1 and 2 feet, while offshore seas will be between 1 and 3 feet.

Visibility inshore is expected to range between 4 and 9 kilometers, dropping to 1 kilometer or less in some areas at first. Offshore visibility will range between 3 and 8 kilometers, decreasing to 1 kilometer or less initially.
