PHCC: Vaccinations required for Hajj and Umrah are available and free of charge in health centers

The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has announced that all the vaccinations required for performing Hajj or Umrah are available and free of charge in all of its 28 health centers in various regions of the State.

The Department of Communicable Diseases of the Department of Infection Control at PHCC pointed out that the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has noted a number of controls that stipulate this year’s Hajj. For the age group, the person needs to be less than 65 years old, with the requirement to complete immunization with basic doses of approved COVID-19 vaccines, provided that it is not less than two doses for pilgrim wishing to perform the pilgrimage this year. Pilgrims from outside the Kingdom must submit a negative Coronavirus test result for a sample taken within 72 hours before the departure date.

PHCC stressed the importance of taking vaccinations well before Hajj (10 days or more before travel) to prevent some infectious diseases, as vaccinations vary between what is mandatory and what is optional.
