Gaza: The Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced that the Israeli occupation has murdered at least 12,061 Palestinian students and injured at least 19,467 others since the beginning of what it describes as Israel's genocide against the Gaza Strip and aggression against the West Bank in 2023. According to Qatar News Agency, a statement issued by the ministry detailed that more than 11,946 students have been killed, and 18,858 injured in the Gaza Strip alone. In the West Bank, the Israeli occupation has killed 115 students and injured 609 others. The ministry's statement also highlighted that 564 teachers and administrators have been murdered, and 3,729 others injured in the Gaza Strip since the onset of the conflict. Furthermore, the Israeli occupation has been accused of bombing and vandalizing 441 government schools, universities, and their buildings in the Gaza Strip. This includes 65 institutions affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees ( UNRWA) and the complete destruction of 77 other schools. In the West Bank, 91 schools and seven universities have reportedly been stormed and vandalized. The Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education emphasized the deliberate deprivation of educational opportunities for at least 788,000 students in the Gaza Strip, asserting that the ongoing conflict has left most students facing psychological trauma and challenging health conditions.
