According to Qatar News Agency, the Commission stated that this comes amid continued punitive and retaliatory policies against the detainees, worsening their suffering and threatening their lives. It noted that the prison's administration carries out numerous violations that have become part of the detainees' daily routine.

Sick detainees are denied access to medication and medical treatment, while skin diseases have worsened among detainees, posing a risk to their health. Detainees lack adequate clothing and blankets and are also prohibited from possessing cleaning and disinfecting supplies, along with being subjected to numerous other punitive measures and policies, the Palestinian Commission underscored. These conditions were documented during a visit to a number of detainees at Ofer Prison.
