Oman Airports launches tender registration service electronically

Oman Airports endeavour to enhance digitalisation of the services and work procedures received a boost when the company launched the tender registration service electronically.

All suppliers, service providers and contractors have been urged to register their companies on a new link as Oman Airports move towards the electronic registration system for tenders and vendor management.

In an official tweet on Sunday, Oman Airports invited vendors for online registration and said that the process to switch to electronic registration system will maximise the efficiency and productivity.

Oman Airports said that once the system is in place it will help the vendors to participate in bidding and receiving notifications of new business opportunities. Vendors can also submit their bids and proposals digitally.

Earlier this month, Oman Airports had launched their Documents Management Centre at Muscat International Airport.

The Documents Management Centre covers an area of 787 square meters, of which 430 square meters is dedicated to document storage, and 357 square meters for facilities such as a dedicated post office, documents sorting and viewing of area, meeting room, and reception area, in addition to staff offices and service facilities for personnel.

Oman Airports also signed an agreement with Bahwan Information Technology Company to provide an electronic system for managing records and documents.

The agreement reflects Oman Airports’ ongoing digital transformation efforts; in this case, through the automation of documents and records to facilitate their protection, and ease of management and retrieval

Oman Airports also aims to continue supporting the national vision for developing the aviation sector, while improving and enhancing the overall travel experience for flyers arriving and departing from all the country’s airports.

The company’s tasks include managing and operating the Sultanate of Oman’s airports and leading the development of airport infrastructures.

This infrastructure includes passenger buildings, freight service buildings, runways, aprons, parking lots, and other facilities managed and maintained in accordance with the standards and practices adopted by the International Civil Aviation Organization and civil aviation regulations.
