OIC Secretary General Hails Saudi Arabia’s Role in Evacuating Stranded Nationals in Sudan

The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hussein Ibrahim Taha, has praised Saudi Arabia’s various and determined efforts and its timely initiative that resulted in the evacuation of nationals of OIC member states in addition to other non-member states, crews of diplomats, international and civilian workers, from the Republic of the Sudan due to the deteriorating security situation.

The Secretary-General expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister for their follow-up and guidance of the nationals’ evacuation process.

The Secretary General of the OIC renewed his call on conflicting Sudanese parties to cease-fire and resort to dialogue in order to restore the security and safety of the Sudanese people, the Sudanese state and its capabilities
