Dutch Foreign Minister Sigrid Kag announced in Doha on Wednesday that the Netherlands has decided to move its embassy from Kabul to the Qatari capital, in the wake of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, after a similar move by the United States and Britain.
“I asked (Qatar) to agree to transfer the Dutch embassy from Kabul to Doha,” the minister said in a press conference with her Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, whose country plays a key role in the talks with the Taliban.
