MOTC Explains Sailing Rules for Personal and Tourist Maritime Vessels

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) announced that personal and tourist marine vehicles will be allowed to sail according to a number of regulations and conditions, starting from August 6, 2021.

This step, according to a tweet published by the Ministry on its Twitter account, comes in implementation of the decisions issued within the framework of the plan to gradually lift the restrictions imposed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and in the interest of the health and safety of all members of society.

MOTC stated that it was decided to continue to allow the work of chartering services of boats, tourist yachts, and excursion boats, provided that all workers on those boats and yachts have completed doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. MOTC added that the number of passengers in those boats and yachts should not exceed 50% of their capacity, and a maximum of 25 people who have completed doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
