Doha: The Ministry of Transport (MOT) has completed automating 11 more maritime transportation affairs' services. Now electronic and accessible via the MOT's official website, the 11 fresh e-services cover the transactions related to big vessels and seafarers' affairs.

According to Qatar News Agency, this development brings the total number of e-services available at the MOT's website to 21, as the MOT continues its plans for simpler transactions, less time and effort, and better user experience. The new e-services include CSR - Continuous Synopsis Record, Certificate of Specification Amendment, Ship Deletion, Transfer of Ownership, Certificate of Non-Encumbrance, Lost Replacement, Mortgage Request, Mortgage Release, Safety Insurance for Oil Pollution Damage Request, To Whom it May Concern Certificate, and Sea Protest Service.

"Launching these e-services is aligned with the MOT's strategy to advance digital transformation and service automation across its various sectors, and to adopt the latest digital solutions and technologies. This initiative contributes to developing a more efficient and innovative maritime transportation industry, keeping pace with Qatar's aspirations for an integrated and highly efficient government service ecosystem, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030," said Mohamed Mohsen Al Hajaji, Acting Director of MOT's Ship Registry and Seafarers Affairs Department.

The official website of the MOT offers multiple land and maritime transportation affairs' e-services, which users can access and apply for at any time and from any place, saving them time and effort.
