Sale: The Moroccan city of Sale will host the 18th International Women's Film Festival from September 22 to 27, with the participation of a number of female filmmakers and stars from Arab and Western cinema. According to Qatar News Agency, 10 films from Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Arab countries will compete in the festival's official competition for five awards: the Grand Prize, the Jury Prize, the First Feature Award, the Best Male Film Award, and the Best Female Film Award. The festival will award special prizes to Moroccan short and feature films with a female influence, whether in directing, production, or writing, and these films will receive the Youth Audience Award. Additionally, the festival will award the "Other Bank Award" to the best Moroccan feature film that champions women's issues. In the documentary category, five films from Canada, Morocco, Belgium, South Africa, and France will compete, while five Moroccan films will compete in the short film category. The festival program wi ll also feature a series of intellectual seminars and outdoor film screenings.
