MORE THAN 2,600 FEMALE STUDENTS GRADUATE FROM NINE COLLEGES AT QU

This week Qatar University (QU) held graduation ceremonies for Class of 2022 female students from nine individual colleges.

 

The ceremonies were held for the 45th batch of graduates from the College of Education, College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, College of Engineering, College of Law, College of Health Sciences, College of Pharmacy, College of Medicine, College of Business and Economics and lastly College of Arts and Sciences (mass communications, history, psychology, social work and sociology programs, graduate studies, biology, environmental sciences, statistics, chemistry, sports sciences, mathematics, Arabic language, English literature and linguistics, international affairs, policy planning and development programs).

 

The College of Education at Qatar University organized a graduation ceremony on 28th May 2022, Saturday morning. This ceremony included 515 female graduates In the presence of Her Excellency Buthaina bint Ali Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Education and Higher Education of Qatar and Her Excellency Dr. Hamda Al Sulaiti, Vice President of the Shura Council as the guest of honor of the ceremony.

 

The College of Sharia, College of Engineering and College of Law at Qatar University organized a graduation ceremony on 28th May 2022, Saturday evening. College of Sharia graduated 92 female students, College of Engineering graduated 196 female students whereas college of Law graduated 286 female students this year. The total number of graduates reached 574 from these three faculties.

 

QU’s College of Health Sciences, the College of Pharmacy and the College of Medicine organized a graduation ceremony for graduates of the three colleges on 29th May, Sunday morning. The ceremony included 93 female graduates from the College of Health Sciences, 51 from the College of Pharmacy, and 46 from the College of Medicine.

 

The College of Business and Economics organized graduation ceremony on 29th May, Sunday evening. This ceremony included 503 female students in various specialization fields at the college.

 

The largest college of the university, the College of Arts and Sciences, organized a graduation ceremony for its students on 30th May, Monday. The ceremonies included 985 graduates, in two ceremonies, one held in the morning and the second in the evening. The last graduation ceremony was graced by two guests of honor, HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Thani bin Khalid Al Thani, CEO of Qatar Media Corporation, and HE Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the Arab League for Humanitarian Affairs.

 

As QU graduates its 45th cohort of graduates, the university continues to chronicle a long history spanning decades in which it contributes heavily to Qatar’s development and prosperity, through boosting the labor market with qualified graduates.

 

The ceremonies included a video screening produced by Qatar University, where the public learned about the university’s vision and the most important achievements of its students. In consideration of the health and safety of the attendees, the University insured that safety and precautionary measures approved by the state were fully undertaken during the event.

 

QU’s new strategy places an emphasis on elevating the student experience by placing QU as a pioneer and a leading educational institution in the higher education sector in Qatar and beyond.
