MOI Announces Names of Shura Council Elections Winners in the State of Qatar

The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has announced the public results of first legislative elections in the State of Qatar for the selection of members of elected Shura Council that were held on Saturday, 2 October 2021. MOI pointed out that the turnout percentage of the total number of voters reached 63.5%.

MOI said in a statement on its official Twitter account: “In realization of the vision of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani – May God protect him – which HH the Amir announced in his speech during the inauguration of the Shura Council’s 49th session last year, first legislative elections for the selection of elected Shura Council members were held on Saturday, 2 October 2021. This aims to consolidate the state of law and institutions and under the direct supervision of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.”

MOI published the names of candidates winning the Shura Council’s membership.
