The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) announced yesterday the implementation of the 2021-2022 agricultural calendar season as part of the continuous efforts to support local farmers, strengthen the agricultural sector in the country and find the necessary solutions to push the sector towards achieving more internal food security requirements.

MME held a joint press conference with Mahaseel Company regarding the implementation of the agricultural calendar, coinciding with the end of the agricultural season for the current season 2020-2021, which has been characterized by good and high production of local vegetables and excellent varieties.

Mr. Adel Al Yafei, Assistant Director of the Agricultural Affairs Department at MME, said at the press conference that according to the agricultural calendar, the production of farms would be distributed among the basic varieties and in proportions that cover the market’s needs in a way that does not lead to dump the market with some varieties.
