Doha: The Ministry of Justice has licensed 24 Qatari real estate brokers. The newly licensed brokers, comprising both individuals and companies, took the legal oath before the Ministry of Justice's Real Estate Brokers Affairs Committee. This development marks a significant step in regulating the real estate brokerage profession in Qatar, aligning with the national economy's needs and the Qatar National Vision 2030 objectives. According to Qatar News Agency, the permit was granted after applicants completed necessary procedures under Law No. (22) of 2017, which regulates real estate brokerage work. The applicants also passed a mandatory training course designed to ensure compliance with professional and legal standards. Licensing real estate agents is part of the Ministry's broader efforts to enhance the real estate market mechanisms in the country. Assistant Undersecretary for Real Estate Registration and Documentation Affairs, Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, welcomed the new brokers and emphasized the Ministry' s commitment to advancing the real estate brokerage profession. Al Suwaidi, who also chairs the Real Estate Brokers Affairs Committee, underscored the importance of customers dealing with licensed brokers to safeguard the rights of all parties involved. He warned of potential legal risks associated with non-compliance and stressed the necessity of using real estate agents' contract templates in transactions to protect dealers' and brokers' rights. Al Suwaidi highlighted the benefits that customers can gain by engaging with licensed real estate brokers, noting that these advantages are supported by the new real estate registration law. To ensure that agents meet professional and legal requirements, the Real Estate Brokerage Department conducts mandatory training courses in coordination with the Legal and Judicial Studies Center. Since the law's implementation, the department has pursued an integrated training and qualification plan and has activated executive procedures, including organizing visits to real es tate offices and nominating applicants for authorized training courses. .
