Algiers: The Ministry of Culture (MoC) hosted a poetry evening on Tuesday, marking a significant cultural exchange during the 27th International Book Fair of Algiers, where the State of Qatar participated as the guest of honor. According to Qatar News Agency, the event, themed "Algeria and Qatar," featured performances by Qatari Nabati poet Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari and Algerian poet Amina Hamdoon. The evening aimed to foster cultural ties and mutual understanding between the two nations through the art of poetry. Abdulrahman Al Dulaimi, the Ministry of Culture's Director of Culture and Arts Department, emphasized the importance of such events in promoting the exchange of local experiences and cultures among poets and intellectuals. He noted Qatar's dedication to literature and poetry, as evidenced by the establishment of literary centers and festivals that highlight poetry's role in reinforcing moral values.
