Manama: HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Anita Anand on Wednesday in Manama. The meeting occurred during the joint ministerial meeting of the GCC-Canada Strategic Dialogue.

According to Qatar News Agency, their discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation between Qatar and Canada. They also addressed recent regional developments, specifically the mediation efforts between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar’s full support for the ongoing mediation efforts, advocating for peaceful dialogue to address the crisis’s root causes and to reach a lasting agreement to prevent future escalation.
