Doha: HE Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, who is also the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Police Academy, presided over the first 2026 meeting of the Academy's Supreme Council. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Interior headquarters and was attended by Their Excellencies, members of the Supreme Council of the Police Academy.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Council discussed several agenda items concerning academic and training matters. It approved the conferral of master's degrees on students who had met all requirements for the College of Graduate Studies' master's programs. Additionally, the Council reviewed various matters under the Academy's jurisdiction and made decisions aimed at developing the educational and training system. These efforts are intended to strengthen the Police Academy's role in preparing qualified security personnel.
