Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said Monday Israel continued provocations against his country as all Lebanese are united in solidarity with Palestine, but “no one has an interest in an adventure to open a front in south Lebanon.”He also said in a press statement issued by his office that pressure is mounting to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.”It appears, through ongoing regional and international contacts, that there is big pressure to reach a ceasefire in Gaza,” he said.Mikati said Lebanon is making contacts, both internally and externally, to maintain calm in the country and keep it out of the aftermath of the aggression on Gaza, calling for deterring Israel and stopping its provocations in order not to exacerbate tensions.
