Microsoft: Microsoft announced that Windows Mail, Calendar, and People apps will no longer be supported after December 31. "Support for Windows Mail, Calendar, and People will end on December 31, 2024," the Microsoft Support website explains. According to Qatar News Agency, Microsoft is in the process of transitioning existing users to the new Outlook for Windows. After December 31, 2024, users will no longer be able to send and receive email using the Windows Mail and Calendar apps. However, any local emails, calendar events, and contacts stored in Mail, Calendar, and People will remain exportable. For the past six months, Microsoft has been actively notifying users through pop-ups in the Mail and Calendar apps, encouraging everyone to switch to the new web-based Outlook for Windows 11.
