MCIT Announces Winners of 9th Edition of Qatar Digital Business Award 2025

Doha: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has announced the winners of the 9th edition of the Qatar Digital Business Award 2025. HE Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai honored the winners during a ceremony organized by the MCIT.

According to Qatar News Agency, this edition of the award continues its journey as a national platform that celebrates digital excellence and innovation, honoring institutions, companies, and individuals who contribute to accelerating the pace of digital transformation in the State of Qatar.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, HE Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai emphasized that the Qatar Digital Business Award has become a national symbol for celebrating excellence and creativity in technology over the years. He noted that it forms a pivotal part of the Ministry’s efforts to support innovation and enhance partnerships between the public and private sectors to create an integrated digital ecosystem that contributes to building a knowledge-based economy.

‘The adoption of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and data analytics has become an essential element in accelerating digital transformation across various sectors, thereby enhancing performance efficiency and improving the quality of services provided to the community,’ His Excellency stated.

HE added: ‘Qatar’s leadership in this field resulted from long-term strategic vision and continuous effort, stressing that startups and SMEs play a pivotal role in shaping the digital economy. The Award highlights their success stories and active contributions in developing innovative technological solutions that reinforce Qatar’s economic competitiveness regionally and internationally’.

The 9th edition of the award witnessed wide participation and strong competition among companies and institutions. The Ministry received 341 submissions from companies representing various vital sectors in the country. All submissions underwent a rigorous four-stage evaluation process overseen by an independent jury of 35 experts and specialists in technology and entrepreneurship. During the evaluation stages, five candidates from each category were selected to present their projects to the jury, with 40 projects qualifying for the final stage before the winners were announced across the 13 categories covering various areas of the digital sector.

This year’s edition featured competition across 13 diverse categories, designed to honor the most outstanding innovative achievements and digital solutions in the country. Below is the list of winners by award category: Ooredoo – Best Digital Transformation; Qatar Charity, Qatar Airways – Best Digital Experience; Wafeeq – Best Digital Experience; Meeza – Best ICT Service Provider; Monaqasat – Best Digital Transformation; Cytomate – Best Startup of the Year; Al Jazeera Media Network, Wasco – Best AI Solution; BIONL – Best AI Solution; AppLab – Best Scale-Up of the Year; Syntonym – Research and Development Excellence; Digital Petroleum – Best Smart Solution; Malomatia – Best Cybersecurity Solution; and Mohammed Al-Delaimi – Entrepreneur of the Year.

On this occasion, HE Assistant Undersecretary of Digital Industry Affairs at MCIT Reem Al Mansoori stated: ‘The Qatar Digital Business Award embodies the Ministry’s commitment to supporting the growth of the national digital industry and empowering institutions to leverage modern technology to build innovative solutions that contribute to developing the digital business environment.’

Her Excellency added that this year’s edition has shown a growing maturity in the level of digital transformation within both the public and private sectors, confirming that investing in digital capabilities has become a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable economic development in the State of Qatar.
