Yuli county: An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck on Monday in Yuli County in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. According to China Earthquake Networks Center, the quake occurred at a depth of 15 kilometers, with the epicenter located at 40.88 degrees north latitude and 84.17 degrees east longitude.
There have been no reports of casualties or material damage due to the earthquake so far. Chinese authorities have stated that emergency response and firefighting personnel were dispatched shortly after the quake. Rescue teams were sent toward the epicenter to assess the situation and provide assistance if needed.
