La Mesa:An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale struck the La Mesa district in southern Panama on Wednesday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the earthquake's epicenter was 10 kilometers south of La Mesa, occurring at a depth of 10 kilometers.

There have been no reports of casualties or material damage due to the earthquake, and no tsunami warnings have been issued. Last Friday, a stronger earthquake of 7.7 magnitude hit Panama, leading to the issuance of a tsunami warning.
