Lusail International Circuit (LIC), the major destination for the world’s largest races, revealed a wide range of recreational events that will be held concurrently with the launch of the Formula 1, Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2023, due to be held during the period Oct. 6-8.
With tickets being rapidly sold out, a group of regional and international stars will top the post-race recreational events that will be held upon the conclusion of the race contests during the weekend vocation at the LICs celebration zone, LIC’s statement reads.
The statement added that Friday schedule on Oct. 6 will feature a concert performed by the Egyptian singer and composer Amr Diab who will dazzle the spectators through his best and beloved songs, while on Oct. 7 the shining star Alesso will fervently initiate a captivating atmosphere full of ardent musical works on the stage with a collection of global famous music masterpieces.
The recreational events will be excellently concluded on Sunday Oct. 8 with an exclusive show performed by the American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars.
Reopening the LIC represents a new chapter in sports history as LIC is the only stage in the region that combines Formula 1 and Grand Prix of Qatar MotoGP 2023, and the famous design of the circuit has been maintained upon reopening the circuit through combining very new and modern facilities to improve and promote the experience of all visitors.
On Sunday Oct. 7 and for the first time in the Middle East, the circuit will witness fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping action with ‘Sprint Race Saturday,’ and kick-start the day with the Sprint Shootout that determines the starting grid of the ‘Sprint Race,’ a 100 km dash, where you can witness drivers go head-to-head, racing flat-out to the checkered flag with no pitstops.
In the final day of the F1 weekend, visitors are invited to watch the qualifying drivers race their way to victory under the iconic floodlights of Lusail International Circuit, ending the night with a spectacular display of fireworks to celebrate the winners.
