Libya Oil Revenues Come Ahead of Expectations

Tripoli: The Libyan Ministry of Economy and Trade announced that economic and financial performance indicators for the first half of this year showed an improvement in exports and oil revenues. According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry stated that oil export revenues from January 1 to June 30 amounted to USD 15.234 billion. This figure exceeded the target of USD 13.985 billion by almost 9 percent. The statement highlighted that crude oil production reached 246 million barrels during the same period, compared with a target of 252 million barrels. Part of the production continues to be allocated to meet the needs of the domestic market and power plants, the ministry added.
