Lekhwiya Unveils Solar-Powered System for Water Production From Air

Lekhwiya: The Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) has introduced an innovative system developed by its Security Technologies Department that converts atmospheric moisture into clean drinking water. This system adheres to the highest international safety and quality standards.

According to Qatar News Agency, the device has been named "Badr" in honor of the martyr Badr Saad Mohammed Al Humaidi Al Dosari, who was killed during the Israeli aggression against Doha last year. The system's design includes two main models to cater to various field needs. The indoor model can produce up to 200 liters per day, equivalent to 600 bottles of 330 milliliters each. Meanwhile, the more robust model can generate up to 5,000 liters daily, translating to 12,000 bottles of 330 milliliters.

The system is engineered to function efficiently even in environments with chemical and radioactive contaminants. Its solar-powered mechanism not only promotes resource sustainability but also enhances field readiness by integrating modern technologies to tackle security and environmental challenges.
