Lebanon: Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri discussed Thursday with French Presidential Envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian the latest political developments in the Arab country along with its coveted presidential election. The deliberations covered the developments of the situation in Lebanon amid the cessation of the Israeli aggression on the country. According to Qatar News Agency, earlier today, Berri had called for a January 9 parliament sitting for the election of a new president for the country that has been suffering a presidential vacuum since Oct. 31, 2022, when President Michel Aoun's term ended.
