Bangkok:Lebanese Finance Minister Yassine Jaber reaffirmed Lebanon's commitment to economic reforms and macroeconomic stability. The goal is to secure an IMF-supported program for recovery, reconstruction, and sustainable growth.

According to Qatar News Agency, Jaber discussed these plans during a meeting with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the IMF and World Bank meetings in Bangkok.

Jaber highlighted the impact of the conflict in southern Lebanon, which has displaced residents, damaged infrastructure, disrupted economic activities, and increased the strain on public services. He emphasized the importance of international support and urged the IMF and World Bank to help mobilize humanitarian, emergency, and reconstruction funding to tackle urgent social needs and maintain stability.
