Kuwaiti national team arrives in Basra tomorrow

Baghdad, The Kuwaiti national football team is scheduled to arrive in Basra, tomorrow, Thursday, in preparation for facing the Lions of Mesopotamia the day after tomorrow, Friday, in a friendly match on the occasion of the opening of the Olympic Minaa Stadium.

Kuwaiti national football team will conclude its training in Kuwait this evening, under the leadership of Portuguese coach Roy Pinto, and will begin its training in Iraq tomorrow evening, to put the last touches on the friendly match plan.

It is scheduled that the Kuwait team will return to Kuwait after the match, before returning to Iraq on the fourth of next January, in preparation for the Gulf 25 competitions.

The Kuwaiti national team will play its first match in the Gulf Cup next January 7 against the Qatari national team.

It is noteworthy that the Kuwaiti team witnessed major changes in the last selection of Pinto, as it was devoid of most experienced players, led by veteran Bader Al-Mutawa.
