Kuwait Stock Market Experiences Decline in All Share and Premier Market Indices

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Tuesday as the All Share Index lost 22.30 points to reach 8,870.99 points, a decrease of 0.25 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw a total of 600.8 million shares exchanged, with an overall value of KWD 113.5 million, approximately USD 371 million, across 30,780 transactions. The Main Market Index recorded a decrease of 14.90 points, settling at 8,576.17 points, reflecting a drop of 0.17 percent. This was achieved through 380.3 million shares traded in 18,845 transactions, amounting to KWD 52.2 million, roughly USD 170.6 million.

The Premier Market Index also witnessed a decline, losing 25.05 points to finish at 9,394.05 points, down by 0.27 percent. This segment recorded the trade of 220.4 million shares through 11,935 transactions, valued at KWD 61.3 million, or approximately USD 200.3 million.

Contrarily, the Bourse Main 50 Index showed a slight gain, increasing by 13.20 points to close at 9,413.23 points, an uptick of 0.14 percent. This was achieved with a stock volume of 300.2 million shares, conducted in 14,206 deals, with a total value of KWD 41.5 million, around USD 135.6 million.
