Doha: The three-day Narrative Forum, organised by Kuwait’s National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL), concluded on Tuesday with a series of panel discussions and a keynote lecture. The event was part of the Arab Capital of Culture and Media 2025 initiative.
According to Qatar News Agency, the forum brought together prominent writers, critics, and intellectuals from across the Arab world to explore themes ranging from the role of imagination in fiction to the intersection of literature and history. A key session on science fiction and fantasy novels examined the genre’s regional and global presence, while another panel focused on historical events in the dominance of fiction, discussing how authors reinterpret history through creative narrative.
The forum concluded with a lecture by Moroccan academic Dr. Said Bengrad, Professor of Semiotics, who delivered a talk on narrative and identity.
