Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Tuesday as the All Share Index gained 26.13 points to reach 8,895.19 points, an increase of 0.29 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 488 million shares valued at KWD 109.1 million (approximately USD 356.7 million) were traded through 28,573 transactions. The Main Market Index increased by 71.96 points, reaching 8,282.17 points, which marks an increase of 0.88 percent. This was achieved through 313.8 million shares executed via 16,513 transactions, valued at KWD 44.8 million (around USD 146.5 million).
The Premier Market Index also saw gains, adding 17.74 points to reach 9,487.19 points, reflecting a rise of 0.19 percent. This was facilitated by 174.2 million shares traded in 12,060 transactions, with a total value of KWD 64.2 million (close to USD 209.9 million).
Meanwhile, the bourse's Main 50 Index climbed by 154.95 points to achieve 9,183.93 points, marking an increase of 1.72 percent. This was accomplished through a stock volume of 273.2 million shares conducted in 13,062 deals, valued at KWD 39.4 million (about USD 128.8 million).
