Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Sunday as the All Share Index gained 1.43 points to reach 8,944.17 points, an increase of 0.02 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw a total of 453.1 million shares exchanged hands, amounting to a value of KWD 123.1 million (approximately USD 402.1 million) through 27,575 transactions. The performance of the market was mixed, reflecting varying trends across different indices.
The Main Market Index exhibited a gain, rising by 94.59 points to reach 9,427.30 points, marking an increase of 1.01 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 268.4 million shares via 18,486 transactions, with a total value of KWD 60.3 million (around USD 196.9 million).
Conversely, the Premier Market Index experienced a decline, losing 18.32 points to settle at 9,305.56 points, down by 0.20 percent. The trading volume for this segment involved 184.7 million shares across 9,089 transactions, valued at KWD 62.8 million (approximately USD 205.1 million).
Meanwhile, the Bourse Main 50 Index showed a positive trend, gaining 130.69 points to reach 11,274.48 points, reflecting an increase of 1.18 percent. This was supported by a trading volume of 214.8 million shares through 12,432 deals, with a total value of KWD 45.3 million (about USD 147.9 million).
