Kuwait Bourse Records Decline as All Share Index Drops

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Monday with the All Share Index losing 41.10 points, bringing it down to 8,478.55 points, a decrease of 0.48 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw a transaction of 128.5 million shares valued at KWD 42 million, roughly equivalent to USD 128.5 million. These transactions were conducted through 12,293 deals. The Main Market Index decreased by 20.09 points, reaching 8,728.49 points, marking a decline of 0.52 percent. This was achieved through 44.7 million shares traded via 3,616 transactions, amounting to KWD 6.2 million, approximately USD 18.9 million.

The Premier Market Index also witnessed a drop, losing 47.76 points to settle at 9,056.59 points, a decrease of 0.52 percent. This index saw the trading of 83.7 million shares through 8,677 transactions, with a value of KWD 35.8 million, roughly USD 109.5 million. Furthermore, the Main 50 Index fell by 100.59 points to 8,081.11 points, down by 1.23 percent. This decline was recorded through a stock volume of 37.3 million shares in 2,868 deals, valued at KWD 5.10 million, approximately USD 15.6 million.
