Kuwait Bourse Experiences Decline as All Share Index Falls

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday with the All Share Index losing 21.68 points to settle at 8,838.95 points, marking a decrease of 0.24 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw 268.4 million shares exchanged, valued at KWD 71.1 million, approximately USD 231.8 million, spread across 20,801 transactions. The Main Market Index also experienced a downturn, recording a decline of 55.60 points to reach 8,838.30 points, down by 0.63 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 171.90 million shares in 11,890 transactions, valued at KWD 35.7 million, roughly USD 116.40 million.

The Premier Market Index showed a reduction of 15.59 points, concluding at 9,297.86 points, shrinking by 0.17 percent. It witnessed 96.50 million shares traded through 8,911 transactions, with a total value of KWD 35.3 million, or approximately USD 115.1 million. Conversely, the Bourse Main 50 Index observed a rise, gaining 49.75 points to reach 10,24.52 points, an increase of 0.48 percent. This was facilitated by a stock volume of 144.1 million shares transacted in 9,473 deals, amounting to KWD 30.5 million, which is about USD 99.4 million.
