Kuwait Bourse Closes Lower as Indices See Declines


Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Monday with the All Share Index losing 44.37 points to settle at 8,863.78 points, marking a decrease of 0.50 percent. The trading session saw a volume of 559.3 million shares, valued at KWD 130 million, which is approximately USD 396.5 million, executed through 31,611 transactions.



According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index experienced a decline of 23.27 points, reaching 8,493.63 points, reflecting a 0.27 percent decrease. This was achieved through the trading of 335.5 million shares via 20,051 transactions, with a total value of KWD 57.5 million, or around USD 175.3 million.



The Premier Market Index also witnessed a drop, losing 51.82 points to close at 9,394.09 points, down by 0.55 percent. This was the result of trading 223.7 million shares across 11,560 transactions, valued at KWD 72.5 million, approximately USD 221 million.



In parallel, the Bourse Main 50 Index decreased by 33.36 points to reach 8,782.34 points, indicating a decrease of 0.38 percent. This index saw a stock volume of 210 million shares, traded in 10,847 deals, amounting to a value of KWD 33.7 million, or roughly USD 102.7 million.
