The Ministry of Interior in the Kurdistan Regional Government issued several instructions to political parties regarding carrying weapons.

In a statement today, the Ministry called on political parties to “participate in the campaign to raise awareness about weapons, not to use them except in cases of extreme necessity, and not to carry unlicensed weapons.”

It indicated, “it is better to inform the political parties to their members to carry arms in accordance with the laws in force.”
