King Abdullah II of Jordan underscored on Sunday that the situation will continue to deteriorate, and the dangerous escalation will continue in the absence of a just solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
This came during a phone call that the King of Jordan received from European Council President Charles Michel.
King Abdullah II stressed the importance of coordination between Jordan and the European Union to work towards stopping the escalation, warning of the dangerous repercussions on comprehensive calm efforts and on the security of the entire region.
He underlined the need to intensify joint efforts to push the two sides to exercise restraint, protect civilians, and respect international humanitarian law.
