Jordanian King Abdullah II and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed in a phone call on Sunday the need to step up international efforts to end the escalation in Gaza and its surroundings.
The King of Jordan warned that in the absence of a just solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the situation will continue to deteriorate, highlighting the dangerous repercussions of the escalation on the security of the region as a whole.
The two sides stressed carrying on with their coordination and consultations, as well as the need to push towards self-restraint, the protection of civilians, and respect to international humanitarian law.
